Scrolling last night
heart full of hope,
We made plans
Showed up smiling like a fool
Delivered,
read,
then silence
trail went cold
It’s the Ghost Parade
They smile in the pics
then fade away
message unseen
Welcome to the Ghost Parade
Scrolling around tonight
full of expectations,
never made plans
Messaging like a fool
I waited for a reply
with my best shirt on
she faded from memory
since we never made any
It’s the Ghost Parade
They smile in the pics
then fade away
message unseen
Welcome to the Ghost Parade
No wonder we're all jaded
No wonder we guard ourselves
Is it any wonder, we give up
Scrolling tomorrow night
low expectations,
no sort of plan
Not falling for that again
It’s the Ghost Parade
They smile in the pics
then fade away
message unseen
Welcome to the Ghost Parade
It’s the Ghost Parade
They smile in the pics
then fade away
they disappear like they’re already gone!
Left unread
message unseen
Welcome to the Ghost Parade
they’re already gone! Gone! Gone!
